To most people this is a lot of money well it is for this type of movie as well. But for “Evan Almighty” this is quite a low number for how much this movie cost to produce. And that lucky number is $175M, so only making $32M on its opening weekend is not quite so much. Also “Evan Almighty” is the equal to “Bruce Almighty” staring Jim Carrey, made about $68M its opening weekend two years ago. This may have been that “Bruce Almighty” was to me a more original, more interesting story. I still have not seen “Evan Almighty” yet but the production company along with many critic reviews say it’s a comedy for the family which they were aiming for. Since it was a family film that may have hurt it in the opening box office sales but the production company says family films keep their momentum longer and be a better seller longer DVD and be played more on TV networks. I can see Disney paying a lot of money for the rights to play it many times over on their TV station non other than Disney. They better hope they are right otherwise they might not make all their money back, but I think they will make it, family films to me seem to always do well overtime. And I guess time will only tells us, but if you have not seen this yet I think it may be worth your time and money because to me, even though it doesn’t have the adult humor “Bruce Almighty” had I think it does have something worth while.
Even though it did only make $32M its opening weekend it did take number one for this weekend box office sales by about $12M. And last weekend’s number one “Fantastic 4: the Rise of the Silver Surfer” went down to number three with $20m, almost only going down by one but lost to “1408″ by only a few hundred thousand.
For those who have not seen it and do not know if you would like, well I made a post a few days ago with a trailer in it so you can check it out and see if you might like it.
For all of you that have seen it, what did you think about it?

Many celebrities do this for others out of the kindness of their heart, also it makes them look good, well George Clooney, may know him from Ocean’ 11, 12, and 13 and many other movies and if your a chick you most likely know this man
his past acting jobs he has had, well mainly “40 Year Old Virgin”, and “Anchorman” because in those movies he would go crazy and start yelling even if he did not know why. Here is a
Wanda Sykes is in it. You may know her from “Monster-In-Law”, “My Super Ex-Girlfriend”, or “Down to Earth”. She also did Stella’s voice in the animated film “Over the Hedge”. Or you could have seen her on Comedy Central giving one of her stand up acts. Just her being in the film just makes me know for sure that she will bring something funny to the table, even though we all know Steve will too. She is a real funny gal and if you like comics and comedy movie I know you will like her comedy as well.

Ben Stiller has been reported to be working on a new movie entitled “In Deep”. Right now he is only producing the movie, but he may just star in it as well. The movie is basically about a man who gets a parking ticket, and tries to get out of it, along with all the other nightmares that go along with it. And during the whole time after getting the ticket he finds himself in more, and more criminal allegations.
Steve Carell, or better known as Brick from “Anchorman”, Was one of the lucky few to be invited to be a voter for the prestigious Academy Awards. Reason why is was one a lucky few is because only 150 people are elected into it, and they want to have less and less because there are about 6,000 in it. Steve completly deserves the invite mainly because of all the hilarious movies he was in, and the unparalleled acting he did in “Anchorman”, “40 Year Old Virgin”, and many others, along with many more to come, like “Even Almighty”.
