Good Luck Chuck 9/21

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

So I was just browsing the web like always and stopped by Dane Cook’s site too see what’s up with that funny dude and well it reminded me of his new moving coming out in September and so I just had to post about it to remind everyone out there also. I will probably repost or something the day it does come out so you won’t forget.

Anyways I think this movie is going to be huge and hilarious, I know it is going to have the Dane Cooke comedy with the hotness of Jessica Alba so with just those two things it is going to be good. Plus the story line is really funny. For those of you who don’t know the story line I, well it is Dane, Chuck, who becomes a girls lucky charm, basically mean they find their true love after they sleep with Chuck. So like any man he sleeps with them, kinda reluctant at first sine he is confused but then the guy thing takes over. Then well he meets Pam, Jessica Alba, and well he falls in love with her, but does not want to sleep with her since he is afraid his blessing/curse will make her find her true lover, might not be Chuck.

There is probably way more to it but that is all I got from the trailer so here it is so watch and enjoy.

Got Shooter In Netflix!

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

Well I did not get a chance to go see this movie while it was in theaters but wanted to since it looked insanely good, and after seeing it now it was totally worth the wait.

And here is a little story on what all happened before I got the DVD. First once I could reserve it I did of course so it was on my queue list for some time but by the time it came out on DVD I forgot about it and did not return one of my DVDs soon enough so I had to wait, and wait. Forgot about it again till I went to the mail and saw a NetFlix in there and hoping it was shooter but no luck. But then a few days ago I got it! i opened it and guess what?!?! The DVD was cracked clean through, and I was like nooooo! :( So I had to return and wait a couple more days and I got it the other day and watched it, and I must say it is an amazing movie, and I think I will watch it again tonight. I will probably get a review of it soon so check back. Oh and for those who have not seen it yet, you have to go to Hollywood Video or get it in NetFlix now, that is if you like a great action movie. Also check out my post from awhile ago to see the Shooter trailer.

And for those who have seen it, what do you think about it?

MOOOO! Giveaway!

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

So luckily I found myself looking through a JohnCow.com and found out about their big content they are having. This contest would not exist if their web hosting provider was not so cool because they are the best ever since they are giving away a seal. They are basically giving away some kickass prizes, you can win a PS3 which is great if you like gaming and like HD movies with Blu-ray, an XBOX 360 is another great choice if you love gaming and may want to watch some HD DVDs, and non other than one of the greatest consoles ever a Wii, if you just love some classic fun games. Also if you don’t want any of that you could always just take the $500 and walk away too, or anything worth $500 like an iPod, iPhone, or anything your little heart desires. And if you would like a chance to win any of these or other great contest don’t forget to check out the mad cow!

Viddlerness

Sunday, August 12th, 2007

Well I have been searching and trying out some new video hosts and I must say I am very impressed by Viddler. I have tried other, YouTube (too mainstream and huge so people are just basically numbers) Vimeo (cool but restrictive) and Revver (liked it but the ads do get annoying).

Anyways on to why I like Viddler, well theres so much, and probably more once I figure it all out. Anyways one thing is the huge file size limit which is 500mb which is very cool especially if I ever make a big video or high quality video and want to share it with the great Viddler crowd, another reason why I like it too. The comment and tips in video is really cool and unique. Fast encoding and progress bar for both uploading and encoding is really cool and useful so you don’t have to guess when your video will be done completely.

Here is one of my first viddler videos for you all to watch.

And here is another one.

River Riot 07 *Updated With Pics*

Sunday, August 12th, 2007

Well about a week ago I went to a concert and I must say it was kickass. This concert is held by a local radio station 89.7 the River and have this concert every year, but of course with different bands that rock. They also hold many more concerts through out the year and have great talk shows and music on their radio station.

This year at River Riot 07 the line up was great, way better than last year, even though my favorite band was there. Also I saw my favorite band again earlier this month at a concert so it was all good. Anyways here is the band line up: Fuel, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Hinder, and non other than INCUBUS! There were about one or two more but I wasn’t there for them and can’t remember their name sorry.

All I can say was that it was insane. And Oh yeah it was SOLD OUT!, we sold out a firkin outdoor amphitheater, no seats, it is just one huge general admission and wow there were so many people, I’ll have some pictures at the end of the post. It started about 2 PM and I got there about 3, just in time for some Fuel. Then wait for Buckcherry to get all ready and they were pretty good, not my favorite but still good, specially their hit song named “Crazy B&*#h”, it just has a great tune to it, give it a listen on iTunes or whatever, or better yet request it at your local radio station if they will play it even. Then I think while they were playing a plane with a banner on it went around several times with the banner saying something about Asian Albion’s released a new CD on MySpace, and I was like wow, nice name then forgot about them and never went to their site since they don’t sound like a great band with that name, that is probably why they are still on MySpace haha.

Next up after them were Papa Roach! They were insane, I mist them a couple years ago at River Riot 05 but I got to see them this year and they are great live, and I love their music. Then after them Hinder got on stage, and they had a very elaborate set up even though they only have one big album, I guess they got a huge check from their contract and decided to invest a lot in the stage stuff, they also some great songs and good live. Also the lead singer from Papa Roach came back on stage and helped Hinder with “Bourne to be Wild” and that was insane.

After them the head lining band took the stage and their name is… Incubus! They are kickass live. Plus they have so many great songs to play for the crowd, and the lead singer kept thanking us for being such a great crowd, and kept saying thanks boys and girls haha, which is pretty cool since he knows he would not be there without us, the fans. They played their songs, then came back out and played their encore song and the concert was over at about 11:30 or so. But diffidently not the end of this story, oh no sir y.

Now we get to the after the concert story. Well first parking there sucks, it is basically one exit for each parking lot, field, onto a one lane two way highway. So basically we did not get out fast enough since we wanted to hear all of Incubus we got stuck in the lot and just decided to wait for everyone else to leave just to make it easier. So we sat there and waited and listen to some music for about three hours. When basically the whole lot was cleared we started to get going but the battery was dead, we kind of forgot about the battery when we left the CD player on listening to music that whole time. So while my bro looked for cables I stayed by the car, and out of no where this drunk dude staring running down the hill towards the car and slowed right before me and hugged me and I was like what the.. and he told me before I get going take a moment and pry for everyone so we all get home safely and I was like sure and he wondered off, stupid 20s people and their drunkenness haha. So we looked for people with jumper cables, even asked a cop, they did not have any, then we found someone with cables but no gas, so we found someone to jump us yay for him. Then the people who gave us the cables we returned the favor and gave them a ride to a gas station, then we went home, but we were hungry so we went to Taco Bell at about 2 AM  good thing they are open till three, then we went home and I ate the good food watch a bit of TV and went to bed.

Now for pictures! Well I personally did not take any pictures since they don’t allow great cameras in unless your press so I am just going to wait for pictures from 89.7 The River to post some. But I will post a few that I have found on the internet, which is basically one.

That is all for now, but you can check out more pic of past concerts or maybe this one at 89.7 The River. But before the end of the post I have to give a special shout out and thanks to Sophia John, the coordinator and the person who brought River Riot to us all, THANKS!Source: Pic. (more…)

Futurama is BACK!

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

In a nut shell it is coming back on November 27th of this year and will be a first of four movies that will be straight to DVD, it is kind of like the Family Guy movie. And the first movie will be called, “Bender’s Big Score”.

I am super happy with this news and I’m sure so many other Futurama fans out there are also. Well I was not entirely happy since I’d much rather just see TV episodes instead of a few movies because most of the time TV Shows as movies are just super long episode or a few episodes bundled into one theme somehow. But after reading more of the article I found out there is going to be TV aired episodes after the movies! There will be 16 episodes from the movies that will be aired on Comedy Central sometime; I so can not wait for that.

Either way I will enjoy it since I just know it is going to be funny and good.

Oh and there seems to be a video from the conference or whatever when they announced the return of Futurama. So here is the video which was found at Gizmodo.

Rush Hour 3 In Theaters

Friday, August 10th, 2007

We all laughed back in 1998 when the very first installment of Rush Hour hit the big screen and wanted more. So Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker were up for the second one which was released in 2001. I loved it, just as hilarious as the first and always found myself watching it over and over again. I thought it would be the last since it is always smart to end a series on a good note, not on a bad. But I also wanted more since they were both great movies, also a joke in the bloopers made me think, “Yes Rush Hour 3!”, and for all you “Rush hour 2″ DVD owners that watch the extras the joke is when Jackie and Chris through one of the stunt men out the window and Chris jokingly says, “Well he’s not going to be in “Rush Hour 3″, and that right there made me happy since there might just be another one. But I did kind of forget about if over the years till I read news and saw a trailer about this a few months ago and I was like, finally it has come, finally it is here. And today is the day of “Rush Hour 3″. This movie is going to be hilarious and diffidently going to be the movie of the weekend and another great movie to add to the summer movie list, a and another movie to put on your Netflix waiting list once you can.

And here is a trailer to pump you guys all up and so you can go see it this weekend to make sure it hits number one in the box office this weekend.

And remember it came out today so don’t forget to go see it. :)

Moving Servers *Updated*

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

Well this server expires today, kind of forgot about it. I still need to find a new one, since this current one is not the best I could get. So if any of you know any good cheap web hosts please let me know asap.

Also if you come to the site and it is down I’m sorry for the inconvenience and I will try to get everything moved as soon as possible.

 ***Update***

Well there has been some mis communication during the process so I’m still on the same host, have not moved to new one yet. And I’m not sure how much longer I have left on this server before it shuts down. So sorry in advance if this site is down completely I will try to get everything shorted out as soon as possible and try to keep downtime to a minimum.

Thanks for your patience.
