I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007

Plot:

Basically it is to straight guys pretend to be gay and get married in order for them to receive the legal benefit, and that is this movie in a nut shell.

Rating:

10/10

This movie right here is just so damn hilarious, and it has to be the funniest movie of the summer, or maybe “The Simpson’s Movie” I don’t know yet since I have yet to see it yet. This movie has to be the greatest Adam Sandler movie in a while, and it is very nice to see Adam back to comedy movies after proving he can do more, which he can if you saw his past movie about 9-11, he was serious, now hilariously gay.

Favorite Character:

Wow, I can never choose just one character in a great movie, especially comedy ones because they all help each other on their jokes in the movie, if it was just one person being funny and what not it would get really annoying.

But if I had to choose just one I would diffidently choose Adam Sandler’s character Chuck just because it is Adam and he is just one hilarious man and is my favorite actor of all time.

This movie would not be what it is with ought many of the other characters in it, it just wouldn’t, all of them make this movie, all of them bring it all together. For example Kevin James’s character Larry brought so much, Kevin alone is quite funny and enjoyed his TV show “King of Queen’s” and in this movie he was quite the same but married to a dude. Then we have Nick Swardson’s character Kevin the fairy at the party Adam and James went to, he is just a great comic and very funny and fits every part so good in every movie I see him in, and I don’t think I have to say much else. Next we have David Spade and him in a bunny costume if I remember correctly and Adam going up to him and saying “I want to suck your bloooood” and David turning around and saying he is a naughty fellow or something, and David fit his character so well. Last but diffidently not least what so ever Jessica Biel, mainly because she is Jessica Biel and come on do I have to say anything else, and if I do well then just go see a movie with her in it and you will understand.

Favorite Quote:

Well there is so many but I will narrow it down to two hilarious quotes.

Chuck Levine: Would you wear a yarmulke? It would make my mother proud.
Larry Valentine: I’m not wearing a yarmulke. Come on.
Chuck Levine: I’m Jewish. I don’t want to piss my mother off.
Larry Valentine: Yeah? Well, I’m Catholic. I don’t want to piss Mel Gibson off.

It really is not as funny just reading it, it is funnier if you see the movie or have seen it or at least know the scene, and it is when they are in the chapel in Canada getting married so they look like a real gay couple.

And my other favorite quote is:

Rob Schneider: Now place the ring on his hand. A ring is like a circle, it goes on forever. It’s not like a triangle, triangle have corners. It’s like a circle.

Oh and I forgot to add him to favorite character, but this right here just has to be hilarious, since he just goes on and on about a circle being round and a triangle having end points.

Favorite Part:

Well there are a lot of great scenes in this movie, but one sticks out to me, and that scene is where one of my favorite quotes is from, the Rob Schneider. This scene is when Adam and James go to Canada to get married after Jessica told them they should to make their relationship as a gay couple look legit. And after Rob says to exchange rings he goes on and on about a ring is a circle with no end points, but a triangle has end points and does not go round and round like a ring so a triangle is not a ring and what not, it is just hilarious if you have seen the movie and if you have not, well then it wont be as funny so go see the movie.

Oh and another great scene is when Kevin goes to Adam’s house and tells him the idea of domestic partnership for the pension and Tila Teqilla walks out along with many other hooters girls wearing lingerie, along with Kevin and Adam’s doctor. The reason that is funny is when they look for Gatorade in the fridge and Adam says it is down on the bottom self and all the girls bend over and look, and of course the camera points at them.

Overall:

Overall I think this is one great movie, another great movie to add to the top movie list of the summer of 07. It has great comedy, great chemistry between the actors and actresses, which is probably because they are almost all friends with Adam. Also this is a diffident must see if you are a comedy loving movie watcher like me.

Transformers (2007)

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

Plot:

Shia turns 16 and goes to get a car and Bernie Mac says the car chooses the driver, and well the yellow with black racing stripe Camaro chose Shia, reason why was because Shia was LADIESMAN217 on eBay and was selling basically the map to get some money for his car. And the good autobots need to get those glasses before their evil kind comes and gets it and destroys all humanity. That is the storyline in just a few words, so much more happens, for example, wait you know what I do not want to soil it for the rest that have not seen it yet.

Rating:

9/10

It is a great action packed film with some great comedy along with it, but like almost every movie some scenes could have used something else.

Favorite Character:

For some reason with great movies that I love I can not choose just one favorite character, you just can’t. All the main characters and some side characters bring something to the table that just can’t be ignored.

One of those characters is Bernie Mac, he alone made the begging very hilarious and his facial expression after all his car’s windows were shattered and shuddered 4,000. Another great character is John Turturro since he is just hilarious in his movies, and this movie was no exception. In this movie with S7 he had many quick little remarks which to me were hilarious. Another great actor was Tyrese Gibson mainly because after basically everyone knew and fire everywhere he yells “were under attack!” Then we have Anthony Anderson, haha this dude is just funny like no other. In this movie he is a hacker and Rachael Taylor is one of his friends who brought him the sounds of the destructo bots when they hacked all the files. You just have to see the film to really understand how hilarious he made this film.

But if I had to choose just one character I would have to choose Shia LaBeouf’s character since he did a phenomenal job at it and his character was kickass and so real. Or I would choose Megan Fox’s character since she is Megan Fox and she was pretty good.

Favorite Quote:

Sam (Shia): It’s a robot. You know, like a super advanced robot. It’s probably Japanese.

That is just classic thinking since those Japanese are so advanced with their Sony and all.

Favorite Part:

Hmmm favorite part in a great movie with way too many good parts. I guess I will just choose one that I can think of that was funny and that I can remember right now, I can always add another scene anyways.

So the scene is when Glen Whitmann (Anthony Anderson) was in the interrogation’s room along with Maggie Madsen (Rachael Taylor) and Glen said when your innocent you eat the food they offer, and I ate the whole plate. Then he tells her to not fall for their good cop bad cop thing and do not tell them anything. Then when the cops walk in Glen yells “It was her, all her!” and Maggie was like what, what happened to what you just said?

Overall:

This movie has to be the greatest action movie of the summer, and probably one of the greatest movies of the summer, and one great movie of all time. It was worth every penny spent on production and worth 7 bucks to go see it. Also Michael Bay did not cease to amaze me with his director skills with this one. He did a great job on yet another blockbuster action movie and can’t wait for another movie by him. Reason why is because he uses real action in most of his scenes since he rather do real action and get a real reaction from the actors instead of paying editors and special effect guys to put in and make the scene work.

You:

If you have not seen it yet go see it, you will be amazed by it.

And for those who have seen it, how did you like it?

Transformers 7.4.7

Thursday, June 21st, 2007

As most of you know “Transformers” the movie comes out on Independence Day, July 4, 2007. I just gotta say this movie looks insane. It looks like it will have some great action scenes, well most of it will be action. It also looks like it will have some great comedy as well in it, mostly just by the first scene in the new trailer when his dad drives by the Porsche dealership to get to the used car dealership where he gets his “car”, transformer.

Anyways here is the “Transformers” Trailer, and remember the movie comes out 7.4.7! I know I just might go see it.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Thursday, June 21st, 2007

Plot:

Basically is all about Ron (Will Ferrel) in the 70’s, and him being San Diego’s (aka a Whales Vagina  ) man, the news man that is! But one day he meets this lady, and something is way different about her. This later eventually tries to take over Ron’s domain, the news. Se even reads the news, which is a defiant no no. This lady was named, Veronica Corningstone, a reporter from many other news stations, and she was the one taking over Ron’s domain. She worked hard for her spot; she did crappy assignments just for her change, her change to be at the top, to be an anchor.

Rating:

10/10

Favorite Character:

I do not have a single favorite character; I do not think you can just choose one. It has to be Ron and his news crew, Champ, Brick, and Brian. All four of them make this movie; they all bring something different to the table. You have Ron’s leadership and the all American man. Then you got champ, the um sports fanatic who can be a little gay and girly at times but then funny at others, like his s&*t covered squirrel. Then there’s Brick Tamland, just saying his name makes me laugh, he is just hilarious, all his yelling just because everyone else is, or him and is hand grenade. Then you got Brian Fantana who names his nads, kind of weird but still funny, well mostly disturbing and weird.

Favorite Quote:

Ron Burgundy: Boy, that escalated quickly… I mean, that really got out of hand fast.
Champ Kind: It jumped up a notch.
Ron Burgundy: It did, didn’t it?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart.
Ron Burgundy: I saw that. Brick killed a guy. Did you throw a trident?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.
Ron Burgundy: Brick, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safe house or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you’re probably wanted for murder.

Favorite Part:

It has to be where my favorite quote is from, the fight scene. Here is the overview of it so you all can remember.

First they decide to get suites, and they do that jump heel clip thing. Then Brick takes them on a “shortcut” and Brian asks him where the store is and Brick just rambles about something other than the shortcut and the store. Then Wes Mantooth and his news crew encircle Ron and his crew like prey in the wild. They about to get into a fight and other news crew show up, along with Arturo Mendes and his Spanish news crew. So everyone is there, and Ron gives the one and only golden rule, “No touching of the hair or face, and that is it!”. They all of course agree. They all have their weapons and brick has a, well a grenade, and they ask him where he got it and he says he does not know. Well you probably know what happens next, they all get in a huge fight, random horses appear, and a guy on fire runs across the screen on fire, completely random  and well they hear the police sirens and Arturo yells “Policia!”. They all scatter and then Ron and his crew are in Ron’s office and they say my favorite quote.

Overall:

Overall the movie is one great comedy; I think most will enjoy it very much. Also if you like the all American stereotypical version of a guy, this is a diffident must see. And if you like any of Will Ferrel’s other movies you will diffidently love this movie.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005)

Monday, May 7th, 2007

Plot:

Basically two people get married didn’t know both where competing hitters. Their companies set them up to kill each other, they loved each other to much and fought back till they won. And lived happily ever after.

Overall Rating:

9/10

Great movie. Willing to watch it several times and still enjoy it.It contains some good humor, not straight forward jokes which is cool, its just my type of comedy.

Favorite Character:

Hmmm, I’m not sure. All were good. But i have to say Angelina Jolie mainly because she is Angelina Jolie, the one and only.

Favorite Quote:

John: That’s the second time you’ve tried to kill me today.

Jane: Oh, come on. it was just a little bomb.

 To me that is comedy!  It was brilliant.

Favorite Part:

It has to be when they are in the department store with the companies trying to kill them and they go into the elevator and the elevator music come son, its a classic.

Epic Movie

They get in trouble and Milton comes to the rescue, how well you got to go watch the movie. Yeah I’m talking to you Brendon go watch it.

Overall Rating:

10/10

Great movie, very funny, I can totally watch it again even right after i just watched it, because it’s that good. Simple as that.

Favorite Character:
Milton yay I love squirrels too buddy haha

Favorite Quote:

“Maybe I’ll show her my o-face, oh oh”
-Drew

Favorite Part
This is hard because there is so many good parts. I’d have to say the very beginning Michael Bolton (I wounder if he is related to that singer guy?) anyways when he is driving to work and hes singing the words to that rap song and a black man walks by and he turns down the music and whispers to himself till he’s gone, classic.

Feel free to comment on this great movie and give your own review and score.
