Just another little vid I did.
The music is 311’s Beyond the Grey Sky off their Evolver album, if you have neaver heard of 311 check them out, awesome band.
Anyways enjoy the vid and hope you like it.
The other day I was doing the norm on the computer, surfing Digg, Yahoo, Google, blogs, Revision3, Flickr, ect. Then I downloaded a new program, thought it was safe, read comments reviews at multiple sites and nothing bad about it. After I downloaded it I scanned it Like I mostly do, clean. And it was, but it didn’t work well with 64-bit VIsta and some other programs already installed. So instead of fixing the problem manually, felt lazy, I just set it back with Windows restore point, it was one right before a Windows update, thought alright only one day loss of work, but haven’t really done anything on the computer worth backing up so I continued. And well when it restarted it hung on the green windows loading screen then loaded a blank screen with the mouse pointer, and after awhile the screen saver came on. So I was like this is just awesome.
And I have tried everything so fix it, unplugged all USB devices running checkdisk with install DVD and checking memory and all checked out, I have yet to reformat and have to redo everything since the backup I made with the built in backup to DVD isn’t recognized, great. I do have most of my music backed up, if I don’t I have the original cds I can re rip, so no big problem there. But I will lose all my videos and Vegas files since the backups I had were on my USB drive and someone stole it, don’t worry most files were encrypted. ![]()
So for now I have been running Ubuntu 7.10 Live Disc until I can find a way to fix th problem, or at least back up my data since there is an error on the hard drive linux won’t let me mount the drive. I know that is what I get for not backing up in the first place, even though I did have one on DVDs but for some reason VIsta didn’t like it, even though it made it for me.
Oh well I will hopefully figure out a way to get my data and restore my computer and get it back up and running. Good thing I don’t really need it this week, besides maybe a paper or two which I can type on Google Docs till I can get Windows to work again.

Yumm a sandwich, must I say more besides make me one now?
This does not show the actual video, just the reaction from two who did watch it for the first time, so your safe, and for those who have seen it you know why they react the way they do.

Yeah BME is really really nasty and I do not recommend watching it, and I will not link to it because I just don’t want to find it again.

Just an awesome video of my friend from the other week. It was completely random, but luckly I had my camera turned out to catch this.
Well a little over a week ago I got Vista SP1 (Service Pack), and it is basically an update to improve performance and stability. Anyways When I first saw it was available in my update manager I was wondering if it was a glitch or something because it hasn’t been released to the public yet, just manufacturers and public gets it around mid this month. So I hit refresh or research, whatever you want to call it, and well it still appeared, so I was like awesome and clicked install.
After downloading, it well of course installed, but taking after the Zune welcomed me. And that made it true that it wasn’t just a glitch. yay ![]()

Then after clicking next and whatnot it installed then restarted and configured, took a bit longer than a regular update, but hey it is, it’s a SP. And to make sure it really installed I checked my computer, or system.
As you can see it says SP1, and some more of my stats. After installing I noticed an increase in transferring files and coping them, also the archiving. I guess there were more improvements but haven’t really noticed them. I heard it helps out people with laptops because it increases the battery life since it uses less processing power to operate normally, but not really sure since I’m running Vista on a desktop. Anyways so far so good with SP1, no major problems for me, but really didn’t run into many before the SP. Some of my problems are a couple old programs I had don’t work with a 64 bit OS, which I run, sucks but oh well I can find some other program to do what I need. So can’t wait till 64 bit becomes more standard. But hey that’s what I rick running something new or newer, just like being an early adopter of Vista, you find out first hand it kind of sucks.
Oh after talking to someone I figured out why I got SP1 early the legit way, not changing the registry. I got it early because I have OEM activation key, I thought all activations keys were the same, but guess not.
Well it has been awhile since I have visited Justin.tv, but the past couple of days I have found myself going back and seeing what’s up. It really hasn’t changed much, home page still the same from last. But they have integrated many things for broadcasters. For example they are now able to record their live feed then upload it directly to their YouTube account; this is also added for everyone in the highlights so the viewer can share the clip with the world. They have also allowed broadcasters to make a playlists so video can be playing while they’re not live. But sometimes it takes a few seconds to realize it is a playlist and not a live stream. I think the JTV crew should put like “live” somewhere on the player when it is live, but that’s just me. They have also added some other features but those were my favorite.
Anyways now to the broadcasters. Well sadly a lot of the original starter JTV broadcasters have kind of moved on, which is cool and sad at the same time. They get on every once in awhile but not nearly as much anymore. For example Justin is never on, but I guess that was his plan, maybe, he got his site popular and then opened it, now I guess he does the backed business thing now, also probably he got tired lugging everything around all the time for so long, I know I would. Let’s see TibTie has also not been on too much, or at least not while I have been on, those two were hilarious. Another is Alexa, she was cool and played some good music, especially my request, Stellar by Incubus, which she played right away.
Also I guess Justine, she was cool and went to some interesting places but didn’t really visit her chat room much because there were just way too many people in there, and well just got annoying. She was cool though, she made some awesome vids.
After seeing all those channels off air I noticed an old fave, Holland Girl aka Flow was live, I was like awesome.
She always seemed awesome, and laid back, the way to be, just go with the flow but also be a hardass when you need to be. Also she had some good vids. One in particular, well two, but mainly one which was her Vote for Flow vid to get on the top broadcasters list, go there and vote for her cause she is totally rad. Also I would of liked to embed her vid into my post but Wordpress.com doesn’t allow embeds from there yet, I think I need to contact Matt to add Viddler to the allowed list, first need to find the feedback email. So here are some screens of the vid, but make sure you watch the vid because the music is awesome.
*Here’s the video, I found in the embed Viddler gives you the code to embed on Wordpress.*
[viddler id=aa9ed462&h=370&w=437]
Oh and supposedly she makes all her vids in Microsoft Movie Maker, and if she made that video with that, well she deff deserves a drink or whatever for that, congrats. I wonder what she could do with something like Sony Vegas or FinalCut…
Anyways vote for her cause she is just awesome, plus I heard her playing a 311 song, Amber to be precise, on one of her first vlog video, it’s a little sad but then gets a little better towards the end. Now I wonder is she listens to Incubus…
But sadly it looks like she won’t be able to stream at school because they block it, bastards, but there are always ways around that, and I think I know a few that can’t be blocked. So Flow if you stop by and game to stream from time to time at school hit me up in a comment or email.
Another person over at JTV that seemed cool was Becky. I really haven’t seen too much of her on JTV, most likely because I haven’t been on in awhile, who knows.
When I stopped by she was hanging with some friends playing some kickass RockBand, and if you haven’t played it, play it, well as long as if it is with a few friend otherwise it isn’t too much fun. Anyways I watched them play a few songs and must say they are pretty damn good. They all played on hard or expert and got high scores; they may have not played super hard songs, but still none the less good. But after seeing Becky sing, well I think she has played those songs a bit too much because she seemed to know all the songs by hear, not hard but still. Plus she has an awesome voice and a few songs even sounds like her. She also even sang to the viewers, showoff, ha-ha. Here’s a screen shot or two of their jam session.
Oh and the song when she sang to the crowd she got a 97% on expert, very impressive there Becky, keep up the awesome singing.
So if you find yourself bored and have some time to kill stop over at JTV, theres always someone streaming, hopefully not some attention whore. If you want an update on who those people might be, or just some general news about JTV, and more in depth stuff check the gossip blog about JTV, JTVGossip, its a pretty cool blog I read from time to time. They don’t seem to update much anymore, and when they do it is mostly the scandals, but hey it prob brings them the hits they want.
So I have been using Wordpress for a long time and loved it, still love it. I just don’t really feel like writing good length entries anymore. I thought I’d just make a new post of something cool I found on the internet. For example a cool little app, website, or video. But after thinking about that there’s a great service out there that does just that, and that is Tumblr. For those that do not know of what it is, well it is a micro blogging platform free of charge. It basically allows you to make a quick post about a link, pic, video, or quote. And to me it is pretty awesome if you do not like sharing everything on the internet but still like sharing something.
Anyways I am thinking of switching to Tumblr for this domain mainly because I don’t write much anymore. But then again I just bought Custom Css and domain mapping, it isn’t much but still. And I really don’t want to bother the people at Wordpress.com for a refund, plus I really don’t want once, I guess it is like a donation to them for all the great work they have done, well that is if I decide to leave.
So if you come back here and it says powered by Tumblr, well then you know I switched. Who knows I may end up switching back.
