Well if you haven’t logged into your Wordpress now you know. But it is mainly just a security update that fixes two security hole, one of which might allow someone to view your DB tables, which isn’t good. They also included a new feature and if you want to find out what it is check 2.3.2 release notes.
Now since there was just a small update I got a chance to try out this plugin i got awhile back but didn’t trust it. I heard great things from it and how easy it was, but still wasn’t sure about it. That plugin is called none other than Wordpress Automatic Upgrade. And after using it I question myself why I haven’t been using this plugin in the past for all the other patches I manually updated. I guess the manual way is a sure way but this plugin makes it really easy. In the plugin you can go the automated way which i guess does everything for you, not sure, I chose the other one which took me through the steps and even gave me link to backup database and everything. Then it downloaded the latest Wordpress version and installed and then cleaned up the files it didn’t need anymore after the process was over.
And after it completed and everything still works and running I highly suggest it, unless you love doing it the manual way, or like the old way cause it is safer. But if you want a faster way to upgrade get this plugin, it will do everything from downloading, unpacking, putting blog in maintenance mode, deactivating, reactivating plugins and cleaning up, what more can you ask for, I can’t think of anything, but I bet the creators can think of ways to make it better.
Anyways can’t wait for the next update haha, first time I said that because I hated having to manually updated everything.
